Books, Stars and Sunshine

Alright, so after a couple of  uneventful days I scrambled together the pictures that I took. The first one's are from Chapters, the Library in Vancouver. Me and Amanda went to Vancouver on that day because it was Italian Day. I was hoping to take some pictures of that but of course it was poring rain.
On the weekend we had beautiful weather and a cloud free sky at night. So I tried my best to take some pics of that. Anyone have any suggestions on how to take better pictures of a starry night?
The last ones are also from the weekend, of my friend Carly. I was trying out one of my lenses, the 50mm f1.8! I love it! It focuses in really nicely!
Oh and this last one, frozen watermelon on a stick! So good plus healthy!! :)

Hello and Welcome!

I've noticed some more visitors and I just wanted to throw out an official welcome. No, I won't be doing this every time I get new visitors, but it seemed like my blog was finally making some waves out there (since my mom posted about it in her blog, which I am very thankful to her about it) and I wanted to thank the new visitors for their uplifting and encouraging comments!
It's only been a couple of years that I have been loving photography and only until very recently that I have been able to afford a digital slr camera! So far I have been enjoying it immensely but sadly I haven't had too many photoshoots that I could practice on. But here's hoping for more to come..

So thanks again for stoping by!! I love the encouraging comments as well as the constructive criticism!
I have to warn you though, I'm not an active blogger like my mom, but I'll try my best! ;)

My first (unofficial) photoshoot!

Enjoy! :)

Vancouver

Last weekend me and a couple friends went to Vancouver for a Food Festival. I usually don't go to these things but it was actually alot of fun! There were alot of taste testers and you could try wines and other "spirits" :)

As you can see, lots of good and "interesting" food.

Do you recognize this guy? I forgot his name but he has a cooking show on the cooking channel. He was pretty funny and the dishes he created looked very appetizing.

This is the guy from Seinfeld, the soup nazi.

This is in the convention center. They have a huge globe hanging from the ceiling. Pretty cool.

This is right outside the center! A water drop. ...
This is the olympic cauldron. Right beside the vancouver convention center.
