Gloria and Andrew - Engagement

I have to make a "small" confession. When Gloria started dating Andrew I was not happy. Let me clarify that, I was not happy that some boy swooped my best friend off her feet and totally took up all her time. I mean, she was supposed to be my other half! :) With time I got used to it and I got to know Andrew. Now, I have to admit, he is a great guy. A guy who puts a huge smile on my friend, who takes great care of her and it warms my heart to see those two so in love. It reassures me that they are meant for each other.
The day of the engagement session we decided to go all out. We choose three locations - Fort Langley, White Rock and Granville Island. Yes, we were all over the place and it took all day. But we had such a great time and throughout the whole time, the couple was so at ease and relaxed, that the pictures turned out great!
Also my other friend was second shooting with me. Check out her blog: www.sandrameilers.wordpress.com

Gloria and Andrew, I wish you guys all the best!! Have fun planning your special day and may God bless you guys on your road through marriage with all the ups and downs! I love you guys!

Macro Monday's

I'm back with another Macro Monday. It's been a while since my last macro post and I had some pictures "laying around" so I decided to post them.

This is my friends pipe. She had it with her one afternoon and I started taking pictures of it, trying out my close up filters.

Gloria and Andrew - Sneak Peek

Ok, so I usually don't post a sneak peak, just because I'm too lazy to and I figure, if I post some pics I might as well post all of them. However, with this photo shoot, I have about 350 pictures to edit, so I think it might take a while till the rest of them will come up. :)

I can't wait to add the rest!!

The Warkentin's

Last weekend I was able to do another Family session. My uncle had asked me if I could take their Family pictures and I said yes! So we decided to do it on a Sunday afternoon and luckily the weather was very cooperative! We went to the Mission Heritage Park, which by the way, is my favorite spot to take pictures at. This park has it all, the view, mountains, trees, a big grassy field. Love it.
Here are the pics.

Alec and Diana

Last week I got to photo shoot my coworker Diana and her boyfriend Alec. It was my first couples session and I was happy to do it with them. They were so easy going and in such a good mood, the pictures almost took themselves. :) Thanks again for letting me practice on you guys!!
By the way, I know the pictures are not really in order, but I just didn't have the patience to organize them. :)

My second Family

With this photo shoot I am very happy to introduce my "second family". 5 years ago, when I moved from Paraguay to Canada, these four beautiful women took me in and accepted me as if I was part of their family. I had known them from before already (they used to live in PY as well), especially Gloria. Over the past years, me and Gloria became best friends, and I mean BEST friends. We are each others "half's" and used to tell people that we would end up getting married. All jokes aside though, she helped me through so much in the beginning, she helped me to settle in and she was always there for me. As were her sisters and her mom. I have always felt welcomed in their home and will never forget that! Therefore, I was very happy to do this photo shoot for them! Here they are:

I am also very happy to announce that Gloria got engaged over the weekend! I am very happy for her and her fiance!! They are perfect for each other! This also means, that I get to do their engagement pics!! :) Can't wait for that, that'll be the first one for me.

Karlena, Joshua and Kaleb

This thanksgiving week/end I have been busy with three photo shoots! For a while I had not a lot going on, but that was because I (and my "clients") wanted to wait till the fall weather was a bit more "visible".

Karlena is my second cousin and she was here with her two boys for thanksgiving. She had seen my pictures on the blog and suggested a photo shoot! I was more then happy to do that, so we decided to meet at the Willow View Farms, a pumpkin patch. It was a very bright and sunny day and it was quite a challenge to chase after Joshua and get him to pose for pictures. But in the end, I think they turned out great.
